  Biography	Dad first emigrated to London, England at the age of 16 (1924) in order to learn English. He entered a jewelry business and that is where he met my mother. My mother was employed as an assistant in a fine jewelry store. They were married in '39 . Mon and Dad traveled State side and first attempted living in Terre Haute, Ind. before settling in nearby Indianapolis which was a larger community and more appealing to my mother in particular. Dad was in the home installlment business, owned his own company. At about age 55 he began his career with New York Life Insurance from which he retired in his late 70's. He was an underwriter and quite successful.  [1]
