William Mark "Bill" Moss Age 81, of Indianapolis, passed away December 24, 2004. Born to the late Blanche and Alexander Moss on September 7, 1923, he graduated from Roosevelt Highschool in DesMoines, Iowa. Bill attended Case Western Reserve where he was a member of the fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau. Answering the call to duty, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served with distinction overseas while assigned to the Signal Corp Division. Upon his return to civilian life, he went to work for the Cleveland, OH based women's apparel company, Lampl Fashions. Here he launched his career as a manufacturers sales representative in the womens apparel industry. For almost 50 yrs. his territory included Indiana and at various times the contiguous states surrounding Indiana. At the time of his retirement he represented Robbie Bee Sportswear, and sold his own line of costume jewelry, through the company he founded 13 years previously, William M. Moss, Incorporated. Bill was a passionate golfer and maintained a membership at Broadmoor Country Club for over 50 yrs. Like his father and sister, Jane Gordon who preceded him in death, he was a talented artist and very creative. Several of those pictures are hanging throughout his home today. Bill was a member of Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, National Assn. Of Women and Children's Apparel and the Style Exhibitors of Chicago. |
